About the Friends
The Friends of Lytham Hall are a registered charity (number 1069442) whose objectives are:
 | To preserve for the benefit of the local community and of the nation at large Lytham Hall together with its works of art, furniture and contents. |
 | To ensure that the Hall is used primarily as an art gallery, museum and visitor centre and to provide other amenities of a similar nature for the benefit of the public |
We have around 400 people on our mailing list and produce a quarterly newsletter which contains articles on the Hall, information on forthcoming events as well as how to volunteer to help on open days if you feel you can spare the time.
A project such as this relies heavily at present on volunteer help and there are several local organisations that support the Hall in this way e.g. the Civic Society and the Heritage Group as well as the "Friends".
For an annual fee of just £8.00 you can help the Hall and receive the newsletter with advance information of "Friends" events. If you do decide to join us please consider registering your subscription for Gift Aid as this enables us to reclaim the tax back from the government.
The Friends of Lytham Hall are a group of largely local people with the interests of Lytham Hall at heart. We wish to help ensure that the community can enjoy the Hall and its grounds to its utmost.
We feel passionately about the Hall and its' History and the need to ensure its' safekeeping for future generations. Lytham Town Trust and other local interest groups are doing what they can, but we believe only a massive effort by the local community will produce the funds necessary to secure the Clifton collection.
The Friends are continually running enjoyable fund-raising events with all monies raised going directly to the Hall. We have held a huge variety of fundraising events including an auction, a dinner attended by HRH Prince Andrew, the first Open Day after the Hall was acquired, the first snowdrop walk, Easter Bunny Trails, Hog Roasts, musical evenings and suppers. To date we have raised over £30,000.
All enquiries concerning membership should be directed to the membership secretary, Mrs Pauline Hamilton, via our e-mail address below.
